Alva Boy’s Head Basketball Coach Joseph Kimberlin Talks Upcoming Wheat Capitol Tournament

Alva Boy’s Head Basketball Coach Joseph Kimberlin spoke about the upcoming Wheat Capitol Tournament in an interview with CTB Sports and Enidlive.com. Kimberlin spoke about how his team is starting to get healthy as they have struggled with injuries to key players Aiden Kimberlin and Daylon Malone. Kimberlin returned before winter break while Malone should be back soon. Coach Kimberlin expects the reinforcements to help his team be competitive in the 2024 Wheat Capitol Tournament.

Coach Kimberlin also spoke about his team starting to gel better in his 1st year of coaching and spoke about some of the challenging teams that the Alva Goldbugs will face in the tournament. A huge part of the team’s success so far has been Kash Shipley who has averaged 16.1ppg in 8 games.

In his lone game of the season, Aiden Kimberlin had 17 points and 11 rebounds per game. Kimberlin being back in the lineup makes the Goldbugs one of the most dangerous teams in the tournament. Alva will take on the Perry Maroons in their 1st game of the tournament at 4:40 pm. Listen in on CTB Sports 1390,1640 am, the CTB Sports app, and Enidlive.com.
