Oklahoma State standout Parsa Fallah has been named to the Big 12’s Starting Five this week, following consecutive 20-point outings that fueled the Cowboys’ perfect start to the season.
The 6-foot-10 forward from Amol, Iran, becomes OSU’s first weekly award recipient under the conference’s revamped format, which recognizes a player of the week, a newcomer of the week, and three additional top performers.
Fallah delivered a breakout stretch across two games, averaging 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. His week was highlighted by a season-best 25 points in Saturday’s neutral-site win over Grand Canyon in Phoenix — a victory that lifted the Cowboys to 9-0 for the first time since 2006.
Efficiency has been a key part of Fallah’s rise. He connected on 18 of 22 field goal attempts (.818) to push his season shooting percentage to 68.5%, currently eighth best in the nation. Fallah is also averaging 14.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, securing his place as a driving force behind Oklahoma State’s eye-catching start.
The Cowboys enter the week as one of just eight unbeaten Division I teams. OSU garnered 54 votes in Monday’s Associated Press Top 25 poll — placing them two spots and 25 votes shy of their first ranking since March 2021.
