Drummond Boys Basketball Coach Brady Kokojan Talks Upcoming Wheat Capitol Tournament

Drummond Head Boys Basketball Coach Brady Kokojan spoke with CTB Sports about the upcoming Wheat Capitol Tournament his team is an incredible 12-1 on the season coming off a trip to the State Tournament a year ago. They are also currently ranked #4 in Class A, their only loss of the season is a 63-56 loss to Frontier, one of the top teams in Class B.

Drummond responded to that loss with a 70-29 drubbing of the Timberlake Tigers. They are led by Colten Dillingham, one of the top scorers in the state. Guards Braylen Peters and Tyler Norris are also a threat to lead the Bulldogs in scoring on any given night.

The guard duo of Norris and Peters also excels at turning offense into defense. Drummond is having a great year and looks better than the team that made it to the State Tournament a year ago. However, they will have their work cut out for them as they will be matched up with many great teams from larger classes. Drummond is the only team in the tournament Class A or lower, the rest of the teams come from Classes 2A-5A.

Drummond’s 1st game will be against Cushing at 2:00 pm on Thursday.
