Fairview Pulls Away from Alva Late For Big Win Against Rival

The Fairview Yellow Jackets defeated the Alva Goldbugs 41-21. It was a back-and-forth game where the Goldbugs took advantage of 3 Fairview turnovers to take a 21-20 lead in the 3rd quarter. However, Fairview cleaned up the mistakes and several Goldbugs struggled with cramping in the second half as the Yellow Jackets were able to pull away in the 4th quarter.
For the Yellow Jackets Jax Bernard threw for 267 yards passing and rushed for 82 yards. Reed Martens had 125 yards receiving.
For the Goldbugs Aiden Kimberlin had 2 TD receptions and an interception. While Daylon Malone had 107 yards receiving. While Lantz Mathers made several big plays on defense in the 1st half before leaving the field with injuries, including a nearly 50 yard scoop and score touchdown.
