Oklahoma State fell to Arizona 7-4 Thursday night at O’Brate Stadium, opening their final series of the regular season with a loss. The 21st-ranked Cowboys dropped to 34-19 overall and 16-12 in Big 12 play, while Arizona moved to 19-32 and 9-19 in the league. All of OSU’s runs came from home runs by Danny Wallace and Evan Saunders, bringing their season total to 130. Starter Hudson Barrett, making his first start since March 28, loaded the bases in the first and walked in a run but managed to limit the damage. Arizona took a 2-0 lead in the third, and their starter Luc Fladda held Oklahoma State hitless through five innings. The Wildcats added another run in the sixth before Wallace broke up the no-hitter and shutout with a solo homer.

In the seventh, Saunders gave the Cowboys a brief 4-3 lead with a three-run homer, but Arizona answered in the eighth with a leadoff home run off reliever Mario Pesca, who took the loss. The Wildcats loaded the bases in the ninth and pulled ahead for good with a sacrifice fly and a two-run double. Arizona reliever Corey Kling closed out the game with two scoreless innings.
