The Oklahoma State softball team climbed in the national rankings after a dominant showing at the River State Classic, where the Cowgirls went 5-0 with four run-rule wins and outscored opponents 58-1. OSU is now ranked No. 16 by ESPN.com/USA Softball and No. 21 in the GoRout/NFCA Coaches Poll. The Cowgirls also sit at No. 13 in the Softball America Top 25 and No. 15 in the D1Softball Top 25.
Three players earned Big 12 weekly honors: Ruby Meylan was named Pitcher of the Week, Claire Timm earned Player of the Week, and Gabby Castillo received Co-Freshman of the Week. Oklahoma State returns to action at the OSU/Tulsa Invitational, playing six games in four days at Cowgirl Stadium. The invitational begins Thursday, February 26, against No. 9/4 Nebraska at 6 p.m. CT in Stillwater.
