Seiling Wildcats Football Coach Gary Manuel Talks Upcoming Semi-Final Matchup with Regent Prep
The Seiling Wildcats are 1 win away from making it to the Class B State Championship game for the 2nd year in a row as they take on Regent Prep Saturday on CTB Sports 1390,1640 am, the CTB Sports app, and enidlive.com pregame starts at 6:30 pm. Seiling is led by an elite offense led by CTB Sports Allstars duel-threat Quarterback Kaden Manuel and Wide receiver Hudson Hamar. The offense averages 49.8 points per game through a 13-0 perfect season.
However, Seiling is not one-dimensional, they also boast one of the best defenses in Class B led by Kaden Manuel, and Blake Chain, 2 of the best linebackers in Class B, Brock Gore, and Hudson Hamar help anchor a ball-hawking secondary. The defense only gives up a staggering 8.16 points per game.
However, returning to the Class B Championship won’t be easy, they will have to face down Regent Prep, a team that just defeated OBA 70-50 last week. Last week’s result is almost unbelievable since before that game OBA looked to have one of the best defenses in Class B, they held Seiling’s high-powered attack to only 18 points earlier in the season.
They like to throw the ball around, so Seiling will need to force turnovers and take advantage of a Regent defense that gave up 50 points last week. If the Wildcats can do that they will have a great chance to play in their 2nd straight State Championship game in Football.
