Waukomis Assistant Football and Basketball Coach Brian Helberg lost his home in the Tornado that hit parts of Waukomis and Enid on Thursday night. The Waukomis boys basketball team posted the following message on Facebook saying
“NEED IMMEDIATE HELP
This message goes out to our boys’ basketball family.
Let’s step up and show our love and support for the Helberg family. As many of you know, Coach Helberg and his family lost their home in the tornado that hit Gray Ridge. Coach Hicks will be up at the gym tomorrow, Saturday, the 25th, from 10:00-12:00, accepting donations for the family. Cash donations will be accepted, and Coach Hicks will go get a Walmart gift card for the family. Also, gift cards from fast food restaurants will help feed all of their boys!
