In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Fairview Head Football Coach Robert Bernard to discuss the upcoming game against Crescent.
Coach Bernard discussed what has led the team to success this year:
I think it’s just a great senior class. They were a part of our last state championship here, and so they kind of saw what it took and the work that it was going to take, and we just feel like they’ve done a great job of leading us through the summer and keeping this thing rolling.”
The coach shared some insight on what to expect from Crescent:
“Very tough; it’s a game [where] we’re going to find out who we are and, going into the playoffs, whether we have home games or not. So a lot is riding on this game. Crescent [is] very well coached; Coach Hickson does a great job over there. Tough place to play, honestly. Crescent is one of those places with a home-field advantage, and we know it. “
