Freedom Teen Hospitalized After Accident in Woodward County

(Freedom, OK) A Freedom teen was injured in an accident after falling asleep and losing control of her vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

17-year-old Ariana White was transported via ambulance to Alliance in Woodward after the vehicle rolled five times and then was transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

White was admitted in stable condition with head, chest, arm and leg injuries, according to an OHP report. She was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer, at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, when she fell asleep about two miles south of Freedom on Oklahoma 50. She attempted to regain control of the vehicle, but it rolled five times, coming to rest on the driver’s side.

According to the OHP, seat belts were equipped and in use.
