(Enid, OK) Enid Public Schools employees to receive supplemental payments and a leave buy-back this year, due to recently receiving federal stimulus relief at the end of the fiscal year.

The EPS Board of Education members unanimously approved giving full-time district personnel one-time payments of $300 for the fiscal year of 2021-2022.

According to CFO Sam Robinson, EPS’ almost 1,100 full-time and part-time staff will receive over $300,000 in payments.

Employees can also receive up to $300 in buy-back value for unused personal and emergency days, in any combination of five, for the current school year. Four unused days will pay $200, and three days, $100.

No more than two sick/leave days can be used, in the year, to earn money and half days will count as whole days.

Twelve-month employees are excused from the program, due to vacation days and district administrators will also receive a 1% pay raise.

EPS is projecting to end the 2020-21 fiscal year at an unofficial surplus of around $14.53 million in unused revenue ahead of final expenditure reports being submitted by July 31st, prompting the payments.
