Northern Oklahoma College Announces Expansion of Tuition Waivers Program

Northern Oklahoma College announced today that on Wednesday the College’s regents approved a measure that would allow high school juniors to receive a concurrent enrollment tuition waiver. Students will 1st be able to receive the waiver starting in the fall of 2022.

The waiver would allow academically qualified juniors to have 9 credit hours per year of free tuition. Waivers would not pay for academic fees or books for the students. NOC President Dr. Harris Clark was excited about the program saying “This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn college credit at a greatly reduced cost to their families,”.

He went on to say that “We are so pleased the legislature is waiving tuition for juniors, this will help so many students get a head start on their college experience.” Previously high school seniors were eligible for the program while juniors were not.

The announcement stated that high school students would be eligible to take up to 27 credit hours between their junior and senior years.
