Enid’s 131st Birthday is approaching soon, which means it is time for the Cherokee Strip Days Celebration!
On Sept. 16, 1893, Enid was founded and opened to settlers. Since then, Enid has developed into the ninth-largest city in Oklahoma, and the leading city in the U.S. for grain storage.
Here are the dates and times for each event that will take place:
- Friday, Sept. 13
- Cherokee Strip Celebration – Lunch Rush | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Indian Taco & Drink for $10, courthouse lawn
- Cherokee Strip Celebration – Lunch Rush | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 14
- Cherokee Strip Festival | 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Food, vendors, and much more on the courthouse lawn
- Cherokee Strip Parade | 10:30 a.m.
- Find a seat in downtown Enid and watch the parade! Be sure to bring a lawn chair and a bag for the candy
