A currently unnamed man was pronounced dead on Tuesday afternoon after jumping from Van Buren Overpass.
The Enid Police Department received a call a little before 3 p.m. on Tuesday regarding a man attempting to jump from the overpass. Shortly after officers arrived on the scene, the man jumped and did not survive.
The scene remains active and residents are asked to avoid the area to the best of their abilities. Travelers should also expect traffic stoppages in this area at this time.
