In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Todd at Bath Planet and Enid Cars & Coffee to Talk About the upcoming Filler-Up for Teeniors Gift Drive.
Todd began by sharing the impact the event has had for the non-profits and the community:
“This is our 12th annual event. It is an appreciation day for all the people [who] join Enid Cars & Coffee. But we have two local agencies that do a very, very important thing for our local community. We have RSVP (the Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and Youth and Family Services. These two agencies help disadvantaged local teens and at-risk senior citizens…In our time doing this, our group, Enid Cars & Coffee members, has raised over $44,000 for these two agencies. That’s not including gifts….”
Todd shared the reception from the non-profit organizations and how the gift drive has brought more attention outside of the event:
“It’s been really, really amazing to hear from them how it has changed their fundraising and their ability to help the people in our community that ned them most. The awareness has gone way up. They have found that a lot of people have discovered them and have begun making regular donations. They have more resources, which allows them to do more things for more people in need.”
