All seven episodes of former University of Oklahoma football head coach Barry Switzer’s “The Spirit of Champions” are now available on the Oklahoma Historical Society’s YouTube channel.
Produced in the early 1990s, the series features Switzer interviewing notable athletes and celebrities about the role sports played in their lives. Guests include Bart Conner, Nadia Comăneci, Nolan Ryan, Burt Reynolds, Arnold Palmer and Troy Aikman.
The OHS also filmed a new introduction from Switzer featuring stories about each interview.
Switzer coached the Sooners from 1973 to 1989, leading OU to three national championships.
