Garfield County Jail Looking for Detention Officers

The Garfield County Jail is currently accepting applications for detention officers.

Detention officers are in charge of maintaining safety, security and order within the detention facility while supervising inmates and ensuring compliance with facility rules. The job will involve 12-hour shifts in a structured workforce with a chain of command.

Potential applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or an equivalent level of education, have good computer and personal skills, and must be responsible, ethical, professional and composed in stressful situations.

The hourly pay will be $17.86

Benefits for the position include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, military leave and paid time off. Retirement plans are also available through the Oklahoma Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS).
