OSDH Sees 50 COVID-related Deaths Monday, 380 New Cases Also Reported

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma gained 380 new COVID-19 cases and reported 50 additional deaths, including two NW Oklahoma residents, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Of the 50 deaths statewide, 42 were in the 65 and older age group including two men each and three women each in Oklahoma and Cleveland counties, three women and one man in Tulsa County, three men and one woman in Comanche County, two men and one woman in Muskogee County, one man and one woman in Grady County, two Creek County women, one man each in Seminole, Carter, Pontotoc, Le Flore, Osage, Garvin, Pittsburg, and Sequoyah counties and one woman each in Kay, Cherokee, Kiowa, Pushmataha, Woodward, Major, Noble, Johnston, and Okmulgee counties.

Six deaths were in the 50-64 age group including one man and one woman in Tulsa County, one man each in Haskell, Grady and Seminole counties and an Oklahoma County woman. The remaining two deaths were in the 18-35 age group consisting of a Johnston County man and Rogers County woman.

There have been 4,478 deaths reported, in the state, in which COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor.

COVID-19 cases in Garfield County increased by two on Monday for a total of 7,588, with 211 active cases.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma on Monday included two in Blaine and one in Woodward County.
