The Big 12 Conference has announced its Conference football matchups for 2024 through 2027. The Big 12 put out a thread on X announcing the matchups. Certain rivalries will be protected and continue to play each other yearly.
Those rivalries are Kansas vs Kansas State, Baylor vs TCU, BYU vs Utah, and Arizona State vs Arizona. Some critics do not believe the Big 12 did enough to protect regional rivalries, for example, original Big 8 members will no longer play each other yearly.
Other notable rivalry games will also no longer be played yearly like the Dust Bowl between Oklahoma State and Texas Tech and Farmageddon between Kansas State and Iowa State which has been played yearly since 1917.
