The Enid Plainsmen fell short in a 12-inning thriller to Edmond Memorial 10-6 in a game with several lead changes where each team made big plays to extend the game. Enid was originally supposed to play Ft. Cobb-Broxton, however, rain in Oklahoma City led to the game being moved to David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid against a new opponent Edmond Memorial.

The Plainsmen pitched by committee with Bennett Percival, Seth Carlson, Israel Gonzalez, and Zerek Slater all getting time on the mound, the Plainsmen staff combined for 14 Strikeouts. Enid had their chances to win in regulation but the Plainsmen left runners stranded in the early innings and had some missed opportunities defensively.

However, Enid battled back in the later innings evening up the score to send the game into extra innings. Every time the Plainsmen looked out of it someone would make a play with Whaetley Chaloupek, Aidan Robinson, and Dax Goeke each tying the game with doubles at different points at the end of the game.

It wasn’t until the end of the game where the Plainsmen ran out of magic failing to score with bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the 11th. A 4-run inning by the Bulldogs in the top of the 12th would prove too much for the Plainsmen to overcome. Dax Goeke got on base 5 times with 2 hits and Cooper Jarnagin was on base 6 times with 3 hits.
