The Seiling Wildcats finally hoisted up the Gold Ball last Friday after defeating the Velma-Alma Comets 48-16. Seiling jumped out to an early lead behind the dominant play of Quarterback Kaden Manuel who had several huge rushes.

Manuel is the son of head coach Gary Manuel, who has described his son as another coach on the field. But the most impressive aspect of the game was the Wildcats defense who played dominant football making life miserable for sophomore sensation Slade Strickland.

Seiling wanted to make a statement after giving up 40 points to Regent Prep in the Semi-Finals and having several missed tackles in that game. Blake Chain, Kaden Manuel, Brock Gore, Hudson Hamar, and the rest of the Wildcat’s defense played light out.

Seiling finished a dominant season and was able to right the wrong of their defeat in the Class B State Championship to Laverne a year ago.
