Yesterday Chisholm Public Schools announced that the graduating class of Chisholm High School has received over 1 million dollars in scholarships. The scholarships were announced during the annual High School awards ceremony on May 13th. 76 scholarships were divided amongst 47 seniors.

Awarding the scholarships finishes an eventful year for the district that saw Chisholm hire a new football coach and Superintendent. The new football coach is Kimes Gilbert who was an NAIA All-American with Oklahoma Baptist University and previously served as Choctaw High School’s Offensive Coordinator for football.

The hire for Superintendent was Dr. Dudley Darrow, the current Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education at Enid Public Schools. Darrow is well known within the Enid community as he has worked at Enid Public Schools since 2005.
