The Alva Police Department announced that around 7:00 am on Thursday, February 2nd the Alva Police Department received a hoax call about a school shooter at Alva High School. Despite suspecting a hoax Officers were at the scene within minutes where they heard no gunshots.
After sweeping the school Alva Police found no shooter and the caller eventually admitted that it was a hoax. The Alva police department said in a statement “We are diligently investigating the prank call and will follow through accordingly”.
