Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball program made a major splash with the announcement that All-American Audi Crooks, the nation’s top-ranked transfer, would be joining the Cowgirls. Head coach Jacie Hoyt expressed excitement over securing Crooks, describing her as one of the most dominant scorers in the country with elite size, strength, and scoring touch around the rim. Crooks arrives in Stillwater after a stellar three-year career at Iowa State, where she was recognized as a second-team All-American and earned unanimous first-team All-Big 12 honors three times. She finished her time in Ames ranked second in program history with 2,256 points and led the Cyclones with a remarkable 22.8 points per game, while also becoming only the second player in school history to score over 800 points in a single season twice.

Crooks’s impact extended beyond her scoring prowess, as she averaged 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game last season, while shooting an impressive 64.9 percent from the field. Her accolades include being named to the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy watch lists, and she recorded 12 double-doubles in her most recent campaign, bringing her career total to 30. Crooks’s breakout freshman year included a historic 40-point performance in the NCAA Tournament, making her just the second college player ever to score 40 points on 90 percent shooting in a tournament game. Before her college career, Crooks was a two-time state champion and multi-sport athlete at Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, Iowa. Now, as she transfers to Oklahoma State, Crooks is poised to become a fan favorite and aims to help the Cowgirls make history in the upcoming season.
