A fatal collision occurred on Monday, October 16 at 4:24 am on US-81 and E 850 Rd about 2 miles South of Kingfisher. The collision happened between the driver of a Kia Soul, named Keith Gray, and the driver of a Peterbilt Semi Truck.
What happened was both vehicles were driving southbound when the Kia hit the rear of the Semi and departed the roadway right. Keith was partially ejected, and transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office by Oklahoma Medical Examiner Jim Delbridge. The Semi driver was uninjured.
This crash was investigated by Trooper Lane Gossen #805 of the Kingfisher County Detachment of Troop J. and assisted by Trooper Erik Terrell #933, Trooper Kevin Edsall #406, Trooper Donald Kraft #920, Jim Delbridge with the Oklahoma Medical Examiners Office, and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation determined that Gray was not wearing his seatbelt.
