Two-Vehicle Injury Collision Leaves One Injured

A two-vehicle collision left one injured with internal and external trunk injuries on March 12.

The collision occurred at 3:56 p.m. at the intersection of N. Independence St. and W. Elm Ave. and involved the driver of a Silver Kia Sportage and a Red Chrystler 200. The Chrysler was injured with minor arm and trunk injuries, internal and external. 

According to the accident report, the Kia was heading westbound on Elm when they failed to yield from the stop sign and subsequently collided with the Chrysler. The Kia driver said they saw an elderly female across the intersection and were planning to cross the intersection to stop and help her.
