A special City of Enid Commission meeting will be held at the Stride Bank Center on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom to discuss rezoning requests for Project Thunderbird.
The change in venue and date for discussion of the items is being done to accommodate a larger audience, allowing everyone in the community who wishes to attend the meeting to do so.
The rezoning requests were originally going to be discussed during the Mayor and Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, but the agenda was adjusted to accommodate this special meeting.
Much like the original date for the discussion, while rezoning the land necessary for a potential data center and power corridor does not guarantee that either piece of infrastructure will be built, this special meeting will still serve as a critical step in the process towards making that happen.
