CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Crescent Head Football Coach Kale Hickson to discuss the upcoming matchup against Fairview.
The coach began by sharing what has been the key to success to the Wildcats this year:
“We have a good group of senior leadership right now. I have 13 of them who have helped me along the way; I’ve relied heavily on them both on and off the field, and that makes things a little bit easier when you have locker room leadership like that. That’s been a big key to what we have so far.”
Coach Hickson discussed what to epxect against Fairview:
“They’re very disciplined; there are a lot of kids on their team that have played in a state championship game…they do the little things right. When it comes to just winning football, they know how to do it. We have to go in tonight and be very disiplined as well. Can’t have any pre-snap penalties. Can’t shoot ourselves in the foot…we just gotta play hard.”
