Enid Public Schools Names Mark Berokoff as Next High School Boys Head Basketball Coach

Enid High School is excited to announce the hiring of Mark Berokoff as the new head coach for the Plainsmen Basketball team. The Enid Board of Education unanimously approved his appointment at a special meeting this morning, with his official duties beginning on May 4. Robb Mills, Enid Public Schools Athletic Director, expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting Coach Berokoff’s wealth of knowledge and the promising group of returning players, stating that the future of Plainsmen Basketball looks bright.

Mark Berokoff brings a broad range of coaching experience to Enid, spanning high school, college, and professional levels. He began his coaching career in California, accumulating an impressive high school record of 225-77. He then served as head coach and athletic director for men’s basketball at Randall University from 2012 to 2021, guiding the team to three NCCAA National Championships and earning National Coach of the Year honors twice. Berokoff continued his coaching journey at Oklahoma City University and most recently as the assistant coach at the University of Portland.

Coach Berokoff is eager to lead the Plainsmen program, emphasizing his commitment to player development, competitive excellence, and the overall growth of student-athletes. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Regis University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Randall University. Off the court, Berokoff is married to Staci, and they have a daughter named Jacinda.
