The Big 12 has made some moves in recent weeks adding Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah posting the conference well to survive in the era of super conferences.

While it still won’t have the revenue or brand value of the SEC or Big 10, the Big 12 is now the most fun conference in college sports because of one word, parity.

The days of OU and Texas standing heads and shoulders above the rest of the conference in recruiting are over. In 2024 when the debut of the new league gets underway it is truly anyone’s ball game.

The SEC and Big10 are usually a 2 or 3-horse race, but in the Big 12, it feels like 1-16 has a shot. Albeit some schools more than others. Big 12 originals like Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas State, and Baylor should all have a shot in 2024.

TCU just played in the National Championship game, Colorado has coach prime, and the Jayhawks are cooking something special in Lawrence after being the doormat of college football for over a decade.

While Utah may enter the league coming off 3 straight Pac-12 championships. The new Big 12 has more parity than any other league and that makes it the most fun league.
